A charming piece of everyday history — this vintage wall-mount swivel vanity mirror dates to approximately the 1920s–1940s and carries the quiet elegance of the Art Deco era.
The Details:
12" round mirror glass
~15.25" wide from arm edge to arm edge
~14.25" tall from wall mount to top of mirror
Chrome frame and swivel arms with classic ball-end hardware
Full 180° swivel function intact
Condition Notes: This mirror shows its age beautifully and honestly. There is light patina and minor rust-toned spotting on the chrome — nothing dramatic, just the character you‘d expect from a piece this old. The ball-end screw hardware on the swivel arms shows wear; at least one appears to be stripped and the other may be as well. The ball-end decorative screws that control the swivel tension appear to show some wear — one appears it may be stripped and the other may be as well, though this has not been fully assessed. There are three possible scenarios: first, if it is only the decorative screws themselves that are stripped, replacement should be straightforward — matching chrome ball-end decorative screws can likely be sourced at a hardware store or through an online specialty retailer. Second, if it is the internal threads that are stripped, that is a more involved repair but absolutely restorable — an antique restoration specialist, particularly one experienced with Art Deco fixtures and hardware, should be able to address this.
